Keivlings

1 cup butter, cold and cut into small pieces

1/2 cup fruit sugar

1/4 lb (1 cup) unblanched almonds (skins on), ground

1-1/2 cups all purpose flour.

Mix as pastry.

Shape into crescents. Bake slowly 300-325F for 18-20 minutes.

When baked, coat in vanilla sugar.

Makes about 6 dozen cookies.
